1) Ten Best Links for Novel Structure - "There are endless tried and true formulas that can help writers needing a little more structure." This will be helpful for any writers just starting out in fiction.2) Writing Mechanics Monday: Show vs. Tell
Lola has a great article on show don't tell. She answers questions such as: But what does that really mean? Why is it so important? And is it ever okay to 'tell'?
4) Also, so many people have asked me how I've done my trailer using Windows Movie Maker and because more and more people will be wanting to make their own book trailers, I will be making a post on how to use the program.

Bummer, I don't see the bar!
I see the bar. I tried searching on it, but I don't think that worked..could be I'm bar illiterate though.
I see it, I see it. What does it do? lol I'm still trying to find to work on my layout let alone ad a bar. :D

That's fine. I was just wondering. Obviously, it's not easy to use.

I'll check out some of those links. I'm always up for learning new stuff.
Loved the trailer! I think it's all the action and the music. It's great work for something you're doing for the first time.
Hmm, I try to read all the way to the bottom of a blog, but don't always have the time. Its a leisure thing. But, I don't tweet and rarely FB, so all I'd use it for is to search prior posts. Which to me is much more interesting that socializing.
I stopped by to read your Word Paint entry - but I'm sure I'll be back again soon to browse your site again. I think it has changed since the last time I was here. I've been meaning to stop by for several days . .
Thoroughly enjoyed your last couple posts. Very informative. And fun.

PS: I do like the bar at the TOP of the page - I just wished it also served wine :)
That grammar guide looks like just the thing I need for my writing.

hi miss clarissa! i tried the search and it did ok for me. i dont do that twitter or facebook stuff. it a pretty cool idea if you need stuff quick. that 1 looks pretty good cause i need lots of help.

I'll be Little Miss Unpopular now, but I don't like it!
I've noticed it on about 3 blogs I regularly read and I haven't warmed to it yet. These comments are about the bar in general.
a) It's a distraction to me as it sometimes moves - I'm easily distracted (like a child, I'm afraid!) so it detracts from what I'm trying to read.
b) It hides some of the screen - granted, not much - but as I only use a laptop any screen space I get is at a premium.
c) As I FB and Tweet on a regular basis I don't feel I need to be 'prompted' ie. if I want to do either, I will anyway. (I sound stroppy now, but I don't mean to!)
The only real merit (for me) is the Search tool but you already have one of those.
I'll get my coat ;0)
Clarissa, you're such a techno leader. Like Donna, I'd love a bar that serves wine, but then, we do want too much for our money. I must try it! Thanks, you're a star for sure..:)
Cool bar.
Have a nice day, Boonie
Some great links that I think I will go check out now:)) Thanks and have a good weekend!!
You got a whole new look. I like it!
I've noticed the bar and it's neat. Very handy features. You display some of the neatest items on your blog.

Joy, thanks. I hope tomorrows post on how to make a trailer using WMM will help some.
Donna, I didn't know I signed up for Word Paint Blogfest. Oh, I hate when I sign up for things and forget. I was sure I didn't sign up for that one though...
Sorry, I had no wine.
Lenny, I'm glad you are all right with the bar...I know the person below you isn't.
Kit Courteney, bring it on! I LOVE IT! This is what I want you to do: every week, I would love it if you came and gave me a hard time about one of my blog posts. I mean it. It gives me an adrenaline rush and for a tired writer like myself, I need the pick me up. I use a laptop and I know what you man about the premium screen space. Thanks for stopping by. Please, come again.
L'Aussie, you are so nice! Thanks. I'm not really a techno leader though. I'm trying but not there yet.
Boonie,thanks!
Terri, hope you like them. Have a great weekend yourself.
Theresa, thanks. Glad you like it.
Mason, oh, I'm glad you like it.

I haven't tried it but the bar looks very handy. I might try it to translate your blog to another language and not be able to read it, cuz I only know English and my numbers in Spanish to 10 which I learned in 5th grade and still remember.
I don't tweet, yet. Search windows are very helpful though.
I will now go check out your links. Thanks for them.
Teresa
I have a half dozen of Charmaine's posts linked because she seems to find great stuff, and love Lola's stuff too. This linky thing at the bottom though... THAT, I need to figure out. I want one.
So much to learn from your posts, Clarissa. You know all the cool and neat stuff. Thanks for making it easier for us to understand...or to try to understand.
Doris
I personally don't mind bars too much, but in my personal experience readers tend to avoid blogs and sites with too many technical things and gadgets taking away the precious monitor space. And plus, I believe that less 1% of people really use such bars. It's better having FACEBOOK, TWITTER and MYSPACE gadgets under each post.
