As part of Alex's First Love Blogfest, we're to list the first movie, song, book and crush that we loved. From my choices it will be obvious that I grew up in the 80s and 90s and that influenced me a great deal. Can you imagine? We wore those clothes...and thought we were cool.
The movie I loved first...

The song I loved first...
It came out while I was in Japan and I insisted we enter a music store and find the single. Back then, it was on cassette tape and I carried my Walkman throughout Tokyo. I found it that day and wore out the tape by the end of the week.
The book I loved first...

My first crush...
My first real crush happened in grade six. I sat across from a boy named Danny. He had blond hair and blue eyes and he was--in my eyes--perfect. I moved shortly after to a different school, but I will never forget Danny. I never told him how I felt. Not sure I regret it though.
Except for Danny, who I am sure I would have loved had we met, I also love all of your choices. Every time I see Pretty in Pink come on TV I watch it and it still makes me happy. And Charlotte's Web... fabulous, fabulous book. Loved your post, Clarissa!
Pretty and Pink. I loved the name of the characters in that movie; Andi, Blane, Duckie Dale, Steff and Iona. Favorite line - "His name is Blane? Oh! That's a major appliance, that's not a name!"
I completely forgot about Tiffany "I think we're alone now" !!!
I had adored that song so much I used to blast it on my boom box and dance in the front yard and then when i hit middle school a friend and me used the song to a homework project.
I think Charlotte's Web may have been the first book I read. Either that or Island of the Blue Dolphins. Those both had a lasting impact on me, and I thought they were both good for different reasons. Shortly after those, I discovered Lloyd Alexander, Narnia, and then Tolkien. The rest is history.

I the first book/music/movie I loved were the Hardy Boys, Pink Floyd The Wall and Emil from Lønneberget, respectively. You probably jhaven't heard of the movie, but it's based on the books by the genius Swedish author Astrid Lindgren >:)
I loved Ducky in Pretty in Pink. The first boy I had a slight crush on was when I was five and his name was Danny, also. He lived next door. Wow, I haven't thought about that in years.
I know the movie by name, but didn't see it. Love the sound of that story. Those two must have been pretty inventive to prevent the pig being turned into pork.
If Charlotte were here, I'd find out if she could spin the word "Incredible" for you. I love your firsts. And boy do I remember Pretty in Pink. Talk about a trip down memory lane. :-)
I haven't seen Pretty in Pink, although I'm sure I've just about seen everything else Molly Ringwald was in. She was so popular in the 80s. And that song is stuck in my head for the rest of the day! :)
Charlotte's Web. I remember reading that in third grade. I loved that story. My son loved the animated movie about it. Don't think I could have gotten him to actually read it, lol! He wanted heroes and swords, armies and wars, superheroes.
I've never seen Pretty In Pink. I remember when it came out and there were many who loved it. Love your song choice!
I liked sixteen candles a little better but pretty in pink was another great 80's movie. And I remember that song from MTV when it mostly videos (and fun).

I must be a little older than you. The decade I love is the 70s. I don't remember ever seeing Pretty in Pink. I had a crush on a boy when I was in grade school, too. I think he knew I had a crush on him, but he didn't care about me. Oh well, that's how it goes. I seem to remember a song titled 'I think we're alone now', but it was by Tommy James and the Shondells. I loved that song.
The days of tape cassettes. Only thing worse was 8 tracks.
