The Alphabet in Crime Fiction - The concept was started by Kerrie at Mysteries in Paradise. This week's letter is the letter H.
Here are the rules: By Friday of each week participants try to write a blog post about crime fiction related to the letter of the week. Your post MUST be related to either the first letter of a book's title, the first letter of an author's first name, or the first letter of the author's surname, or even maybe a crime fiction "topic". But above all, it has to be crime fiction. You could write a review, or a bio of an author, so long as it fits the rules somehow.

No, but now I'm interested!
ReplyDeleteYes, he came up a few months ago when I was researching something - can't remember now - but his story is very chilling.
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying these posts. I'm learning all sorts of things. Chilling or otherwise :)
Clarissa - Oh, what a creepy guy!! And a terrific choice for H!
ReplyDeleteI have not heard of this creepster, but I will be reading about him now.

Wow, what a great idea. I'm going to try very hard to return on Friday. Happy IWSG.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't heard of this serial killer, but I'd like to know more about the hotel and who were some of his victims. I might even like to know some of the gory details. Sometimes, the dark side of my personality is intrigued by this.
ReplyDeleteI first found out about this Holmes through Erik Larson's Devil in the White City...one of the few and far-between serial killer/true story books that I've read. Larson does a good job with the material. Very chilling indeed.
ReplyDeleteI love serial killer books. I haven't heard of this one, him or the books.
ReplyDeleteThe criminal mind knows no limits. I'm not familiar with this guy, but thanks to you, I'm going to do a little research.
ReplyDeleteInteresting. I hadn't heard of this guy. Nasty fellow.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds creepy yet interesting. Good find.
ReplyDeleteWow! I'll have to ask hubs if he has. He has some weird fascination w/serial killers. H. H. Holmes. And he built a hotel so he could kill people. That's pretty crazy like a fox... ! LOL! :D <3

ReplyDeleteNow there's a mind with a taste for the nefarious. His doings should make interesting reading. 200 murders is a lot to commit.
ReplyDeleteI have so not heard of this very bad man! My goodness! 200?!?!? Oh dear!
ReplyDelete:-( Take care

Never heard of him but I'd love to know more!
ReplyDeleteEw, I never heard of him! Now I have to go look him up.
ReplyDeleteLooks like some great reading.
ReplyDeleteMy mum was always fascinated by true crime when we were growing up, but I never heard of this character. Grizzly! One of my first school short stories was about a woman who killed her guests, stuffed them and put them in showcases behind the walls like pictures around the house...
ReplyDeleteHi Clarissa .. certainly I've never heard of him - and frankly would have been glad if I'd avoided him in real life ..
ReplyDeleteVery interesting .. just not nice - cheers Hilary
Yikes! that's creepy!
ReplyDeleteNot even Clarissa. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Crime and history are my fav combo.
ReplyDeleteYes I did, when I first started on facebook I liked a page about murder, can't remember the site now and they highlighted old crimes. Very interesting!
